ULTIMATE FRISBEE IS EXPENSIVE!!

Ultimate frisbee has only two professional leagues but the player's salary is not sufficient to live. They must get additional job.

Usually the Ultimate players pay their own expenses to go to play tournaments and they buy their own uniforms. For this reason, Ultimate is expensive for the people that practice it.

POPULARITY OF THE SPORT

The Ultimate Frisbee is more popular in the Universities, because it is mixed. The women can play it with men without worrying that they can injure, because it is a non-contact sport.

The Ultimate is relatively new, but the popularity of  the sport spread quickly in recent years to all the world.

The countries where the people are more play are USA, CANADA, GREAT BRITAIN, JAPAN.

Spirit of the Game is the most important rule in Ultimate frisbee. Ultimate is played without the use of referees.

All players are responsible for administering and adhering to the rules. This rule invites to the dialogue between adversaries.

GENERAL RULES

• Ultimate frisbee is non-contact sport.
• It is played with a frisbee.
• Ultimate is played by two teams of 7 players.
• The sport is played on a rectangular field. It has 2 end zones. 
• The idea is pass the frisbee between players of the same team until the end zone without dropping frisbee.
• The defense team tries to intercept the frisbee.
• The frisbee can advance in any direction.
• The player that has the frisbee can throw it in 10 seconds.
• The player with the frisbee can not run with it

HISTORY OF ULTIMATE FRISBEE

The ultimate frisbee was born in 1968. Joel Silver introduced the sport to the Columbia High School (New Jersey), USA.

The National Collegiate Championships was the first tournament of Ultimate. It was played on April 25th in 1975.
